Quincey and Her Buddy Nolan

Our friends have a little baby boy named Nolan.  Quincey and him hang out a lot.  He is currently 9 months old so, Quincey is 10 months older than him.  At first, when he was tiny, she didn't much show any interest in him but then, as he got older, she tried to "play" with him by throwing toys in his direction etc. Now, that he is older she shows him how to crawl, watches Baby Einstein with him, and actually plays with him.  It has been so fun to watch this progression.

We sure will miss these guys when they move home to Canada

Quincey's Hats

I absolutely love two of Quincey's baby hats.  She got her bunny hat from her auntie Grace when she was just a baby and has been wearing it since she got it.  Then, there is her handmade winter hat that auntie Grace also made her.

Unfortunately, it might be time to retire her baby bunny hat but, so glad her winter hat still fit her.  I just love them both so much and she is so darn cute in them!

Oh, and then there's her box hat :)

Corn Hole and Quincey

It's kinda impossible to play corn hole with this little Schroeder baby of ours!

I have been wanting a corn hole game for a while now so Joe decided to build one.  Quincey thinks that they are her slides and loves to climb on them which makes the game pretty challenging but, she sure does keep us smiling!

Quincey Goes to Pagosa Springs

We planned a weekend getaway with our good friends to Pagosa Springs.  Quincey had actually been there before but just, in my tummy.  Pagosa Springs is where Joe and I got married and we were anxious to get back there.  It is just such a beautiful little town.  We had such a good time.  It was so great to see daddy and Quincey playing in the hot springs.  She absolutely loves the water so of course she loved the river.

We also went back to where we got married.  Quincey was fast asleep in the car so we didn't wake her but, Joe and I both got emotional standing where we said our vows.  I am so blessed to have him as my partner.

And then we went to a lake, which of course Quincey adored!

And we hung out at the Airbnb.  Quincey loves trying to walk in daddy's big boots.  It's so cute.  I remember doing this in my dad's boots.

And finally, on our way home, we took some side roads to see what we could find.  Quincey was EXHAUSTED but still determined to have fun.  That is until we told her it was time to go.

We had a wonderful time and already can't wait to return!

Apples Apples and MORE Apples!

We have an apple tree in our backyard and, this summer, it was Quincey's favorite snack.  She would walk around the backyard and say "Ap" over and over.  Now it's the end of the summer and she knows how to say "apple" but, for most of the summer, she walked around with an "ap" in her hands.  She learned the difference between the ick ick ones with worm holes in them and the good ones.  But, throughout the whole summer, she never actually ate the apples.  She loved the flavor but apparently didn't enjoy the crunch because she would bite little chunks off the apple, suck the juice and spit out the piece.  Needless to say, all summer long there has been little chunks of apple all over the patio, lawn, and yes inside the house.  Her half eaten apples are everywhere!  They can be found in her sandbox, in buckets outside, and wherever else she thinks is clever.

There were so many apples that mommy and daddy got in on the apple action and decided to play apple baseball.  Quincey loved watching them explode all over the place.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Our Baby!

From baby to toddler went by waaaayyy too fast.  Like a blink of the eye, our little baby princess is a little toddler.  And she is so darn...
