Quincey's First Christmas

Quincey's first Christmas was GREAT!  We created lots of traditions that we hope she will come to love.  We lugged her into the cold snow covered mountains to cut down a tree, we opened up a Christmas Eve present, and the day of Christmas we opened up presents, I made a big turkey dinner (she loved the green bean casserole).  Joe made created a new tradition of making a pecan pie and it was amazing.  We made sure to just really enjoy the day and throw all the expectations out the window.  We never even got out of our pajamas.  It was such a nice relaxing day.

Quincey opened up her peek-a-boo koala bear on Christmas eve.  She absolutely loved it and couldn't stop giggling at it.

She got lots of fun presents on Christmas Day that she just loved but some of her definate favorites... Her Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? from Auntie Dessa for sure.  Every day we have to read it half a dozen times.  I try to read a different one but she crawls out of my lap and sits by the Brown  Bear book waiting for me to pick it up and read it to her again.  It's pretty cute to see her personality and start to show preferences.

She also got this sweet little figurine from Auntie Grace who says that she's going to get her one every  year for 18 years so she has a collection of them.  I know Quincey is going to love that!

She also really likes her hippo with balls.  You put the balls in the belly of the hippo and they bounce all over the place.  Quincey is very in to balls lately.  She loves to chase them around the house so this was a total hit.

She also got this little duck from her grandma Mary that she loves but is scared to touch.  She watches it quick and spin around in circles in complete awe but isn't quite sure about touching it just yet.  She'll chase a vacuum cleaner around the house but won't touch the quacking little duck.

It was a great Christmas.  What a blessing to celebrate the birth of Christ with our first baby.  She is the perfect gift.
